► INTRO:  After some months Saigon’s Techno crew Heart Beat’s finally back home, back to the Obs! Consider this Heart Beat’s homecoming techno Ball.
For this special occasion we didn’t need to look that far; Xhin (pronounced Sheen) a Singaporean national, has released avidly on our favourite imprints, has joined forces with our past guests and for sure also future guests, will bring you his organic 100% pure Heart Beat sound you were missing in the Obs. With local regular residential support from Swiss DJ Ouch! & German Chris Wolter and loopy, sick visuals by Swedish Vietnamese Erol we are once again United Nations of Techno in Saigon.
You already know Heart Beat Saigon as the purveyors of techno in the past bringing you artist like Antigone, Shifted, Henning Baer, Marco Shuttle, Etapp  Kyle, Ed Davenport, Oliver Deutschmann and many more.

► NEWS: the new year sees the premiere of brand new techno side-project called NIHX. Released independently on Bandcamp, the project’s debut EP entitled 001 is nothing short of exhilarating. Propulsive, riveting and immediate, all of these four tracks are perfectly suited to sending peak-time floors in a frenzy.
As for his immediate plans, Xhin is part of Budapest’s massive Hyperspace Festival in April, where he’ll be sharing the decks alongside acts like Rebekah, Chris Liebing and many others.
Further down the road, the prolific producer also has an EP on Midnight Shift and possible full-length album lined up.

► FULL BIO Xhin (pronounced as ”sheen”) has been crafting ominous cuts of cutting-edge elec- tronic music since 1997. Building a forte in sound design, he is best described as a sound futurist. His identical rhythmic structure and compositional techniques which incorporate elements of techno, tight sub bass, ambient and IDM delivers a hint of chaotic soundscape amidst artistry. A Singaporean by birth and residence, he inde- pendently released ”Xycle”, a self-promotional ep that made the industry to stand up to take notice, in early 2003. He then followed with his debut album, ”Superso- nicstate” the following year.
In 2006, his talent has been discovered by a German independent record label Me- erestief. With a remix for Five Green Circle’s track entitled Ronan’s BBQ has created a storm over Europe, fully supported and charted by heavy weights from the world of electronic music.
An active DJ in the Singapore club culture he has played extensively in a number of clubs and various events like ZoukOut, Good Vibrations, Gilles Peterson’s World- wide Festival, Singapore Fashion Festival and for fashion label Woods & Woods runways. In 2007, Xhin was invited to play at the important electronic music festival, C/O Pop in Cologne Germany and the rst outdoor electronic music festival in Ha- noi, together with various good acts from the far east.
Besides releasing and remixing, Xhin also got involved in various miscellaneous projects like producing music and sounds for Nike, Nokia and fashion label like Woods & Woods among others. He also appeared as a special guest tutor on elec- tronic music production using Ableton Live for Red Bull Music Academy Info Ses- sions II in Singapore.
In 2009, Xhin joined Berlin’s new techno label, Stroboscopic Artefacts to release his dark, intense and experimental sounds. From the results of his new releases for the label, he has done it again. Heavy rotation from the big boys like Speedy J, Luke Slater, Ben Klock and many more. This will be yet again the beginning of an old new direction for him to explore and experiment sounds even deeper for his future releases.

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬Intro Venue: The Observatory is a nightclub that is focused on underground (electronic) music and the culture[s] associated with it. Now operating from a new hideaway location with a great view on the skyline and Saigon river as well as a sunrise after party experience guaranteed. the ‘Obs’ is already legendary in the whole SEA region. Due to the selection of international guest that performed here and the late night opening hours, the first we might say heart beat did greatly contribute to.
