► INTRO: This June is time for the 4th collaboration with our friends of Goethe Institut HCMC. Most people never realise how long we sometimes work on certain bookings, but this one came as a gift from Techno heaven. Less than 24 hours after our intended booking we had been working on for months fell completely apart, we could confirm with Alex Bau. Well known for his releases on Cocoon, his signature sound as well as a long time star at the techno firmament in Germany. His tech rider is the probably the most challenging so far, that means you can expect a hybrid live performance from Mr. Bau. Of course we are lucky as always because first Credo, Bau’s imprint, is celebrating 10 years and we are expecting an new album from his hand any time soon. Expect a lot of new material during the show, that will be supported by Noches, joining Heart Beat crew for the first time and of course founding father Chris Wolter. Visuals provided by Swedish Vietnamese Erol to top it all up.
You already know Heart Beat Saigon as the purveyors of techno in the past bringing you artist like Antigone, Shifted, Henning Baer, Marco Shuttle, Etapp Kyle, Ed Davenport, Oliver Deutschmann and many more.
► NEWS: Since the very beginning CREDO as a label stands for an uncompromising dedication and passion for true, authentic techno, just as the mastermind behind the label, Alex Bau. Over the past ten years an impressive list of artists contributed their art to create a mosaique of modern, contemporary techno-sound that meanwhile is received as the “CREDO Sound”, both musically and production-wise. The milestone of completing the first decade is accomplished.

An affection to vinyl at an early stage is most probably the best precondition to become somebody finally ending up playing those vinyls for people. Somebody with a musical background. Somebody picking the right record at the right time. Somebody serving and educating people at the same time. Somebody being called DJ.
This fascination for records, starting in the mid 80ies as a collector, and later on in the early 90ies as a it`s still the music that counts. This is what Alex approves throughout his constant touring and gigs around the globe. This music is filtered by the DJ, performed in different ways, maybe even manipulated. But it`s the music itself which has the impact on the visitors of the club or festival so that their reaction scales the intensity of this particular experience. It ́s the music itself which is the key element for a good performace and which has to be supported by a good, powerful soundsystem, a fitting surrounding and the technical way it is performed. Equal to the formula „the whole party is like a movie and while the people on the dancefloor are the mainactors, I am just delivering the soundtrack. As simple as that.“
This exactly is Alex Bau`s credo. Not hard to find the connection to the name of his label. And it does not only apply to his dj performances. His numerous productions on labels like Cocoon, previously also on CLR or Sleaze any many more, but mainly on Credo, perfectly reflect the idea of creating the tension by quality and subtile change and progress which is needed to finally explode.

►CHRIS WOLTER hailing from Hanse city Rostock, with a very active scene, as we all have experienced these past years. At least 5 guests from the Rostock area come over to Saigon. Chris is already more than 7 years part of the Vietnamese culture and of course founding father (Papa) of Heart Beat. Releasing his signature sound on Heart Beat’s imprint with his latest techno release of Chanhy by night and “Scorpion” following “Bubi”. Made his debut in 2004 as DJ and in 2008 his first set in Vietnam during the Hanoi Soundstuff Festival. Now also performing and releasing under his Alias Phuc Long on HRBR a new imprint with BAX as head honcho.
►VISUALS by EROL – no light show will be needed, standing all night besides the DJ’s this one man live show called Erol produces the visuals that will entangle with the sonic typhoon the artist create and release. It is the Lightning going with the storm, the techno Viking god in person and hard NOT to get hypnotized by his creations.

Now operating from a new hideaway location with a great view on the skyline and Saigon river as well as a sunrise after party experience guaranteed. the ‘Obs’ is already legendary in the whole SEA region. Due to the selection of international guest that performed here and the late night opening hours, the first we might say heart beat did greatly contribute to.

►► GIỚI THIỆU: ► Tháng 6 này sẽ diễn ra lần hợp tác lần thứ 4 của Heart Beat và Viện Goethe Tp. HCM. Hầu hết mọi người đều chưa nhận ra Heart Beat cũng đóng vai trò booking nghệ sĩ, nhưng món quà lần này quả thật đến từ thiên đường Techno. Chỉ chưa đầy 24 giờ sau khi một nghệ sĩ mà chúng tôi đã ngắm hàng tháng trời để mang về Việt Nam đã không thành, chúng tôi đã có được Alex Bau, nổi danh với các xuất phẩm tại Cocoon, âm thanh đặc trưng lẫn vị thế ngôi sao của anh tại Đức, và yêu cầu kỹ thuật chắc hẳn là khắc khe nhất của chúng tôi từ trước đến nay, đồng nghĩa với một kết hợp trình diễn live và DJ trên sân khấu. Đương nhiên chúng tôi đã hết sức may mắn bởi label Credo, dấu ấn của Bau, đang trong dịp kỷ niệm 10 năm thành lập và chúng tôi đang chờ đợi một album mới cáu của anh trên tay. Trong 10 năm qua, một danh sách ấn tượng các nghệ sĩ đã đóng góp đã tạo thành một bức khảm âm thanh techno hiện đại, đương thời đồng thời được gọi chung với cái tên CREDO Sound, cả về âm nhạc lẫn sản xuất. Một đam mê dành cho vinyl từ đầu hẳn là một điều kiện tiên quyết tốt nhất để một nghệ sĩ trở thành một nhân vật trình diễn những vinyl đó cho mọi người. Một nhân vật có phông âm nhạc chỉn chu, biết chọn đúng đĩa nhạc vào đúng thời điểm. Một nhân vật vừa phục vụ cũng vừa giáo dục về âm nhạc. Một nhân vật chúng ta gọi là DJ.
Sự hứng thú của anh dành cho đĩa hát bắt đầu từ giữa thập niên 80 trong vai trò nhà sưu tập, và đến đầu thập niên 90, đó vẫn luôn là âm nhạc. Đó là điều mà Alex đã chứng minh trong suốt những chặng tour và biểu diễn khắp nơi trên thế giới. Thứ âm nhạc này đã được anh chọn lọc, trình diễn theo nhiều cách khác nhau, nhưng vẫn luôn có tác động mạnh mẽ đến người đến thưởng thức, để từ đó họ hòa nhịp với sự mạnh mẽ của trải nghiệm có một không hai ấy. Chính âm nhạc làm nên một màn trình diễn hay và buộc phải thể hiện thông qua một hệ thống âm thanh tốt, đầy uy lực, một bối cảnh phù hợp và cả cách thức thể hiện. Cả buổi tiệc như một bộ phim và khi những khán giả trên sàn là những diễn viên chính, tôi chỉ tạo ra bản soundtrack. Đơn giản thế thôi.
Đó đích xác là xác tín của Alex Bau. Không khó để tìm thấy sự gắn kết với tên anh gọi cho label. Và điều đó không chỉ áp dụng với các trình diễn dj của anh. Các xuất phẩm của anh ở Cocoon, CLR hay Sleaze, vẫn phản ánh tuyệt hảo ý định tạo ra sự xung đột bằng chất lượng, sự thay đổi và diễn tiến trước khi thật sự bùng nổ!

►CHRIS WOLTER: [Đức] đến từ Rostock, thành phố vùng Hanse, nơi có một bối cảnh âm nhạc luôn chuyển động, như những gì anh đã cho thấy suốt 2 năm qua. Ít nhất đã có 5 vị khách đến Việt Nam từ Rostock xa xôi. Chris, anh đã sống 7 năm trong văn hóa Việt Nam và dĩ nhiên không ai khác chính là người sáng lập (bố chưa già) của Heart Beat. Ta sẽ thưởng thức âm thanh đặc trưng nhất, mang đậm dấu ấn của anh với quả bom techno Scorpion, Bubi. ▬▬▬▬Âm nhạc underground techno ▬▬▬▬▬▬ Heart Beat; Đây là sự kiện 25 và tập thể đứng sau Underground Body Music với vai trò promoter, hệ thống âm thanh, xây dựng cộng đồng non trẻ và một label chớm nở. Heart Beat giới thiệu văn hóa techno vào đời sống ban đêm của Saigon bằng những đêm định kỳ biểu diễn, nơi ta có thể tìm thấy những tên tuổi quốc tế song song với các tài năng trong nước biểu diễn những bản techno kinh điển và mê hoặc.
